I'll bite. What is "light edit mode?" What is intellij (or itellij from subject line)? _________________ Andy Figueroa

Java IDE For Dummies? That's my take from following the link. That far from my pond. I purged Java from my systems a few years ago. _________________ Andy Figueroa

I'm not sure, but this might have something to do with your file associations. What's your DE?
EDIT: I just reviewed the feature. It's available when you pass a files as an argument to the launcher script and that's exactly what happens when you use "open with" on a file or when you have associated a file type to IDEA and you open it using a file manager. Just remove any file associations you may have for IDEA and possibly replace them for another editor.
Either way, this feature is intended for IDEA use as a simple general text editor. As I understand, you don't need such a feature and in the same time, opening a single file in project mode makes no sense. Just remove the file associations from your DE.

Georgi |

I followed your advice, but definitely this problem persist. I don't have any file association with python file ( what I tried to open with intellj). But when I done a right click and open with intellij, it opened again the light mode.
This light mode is just useless ...
And it don't open my file, I have just an error |

Associate the python files with another editor.

I'm not on my computer, just speculating: it should be possible to modify the launcher script. It's best to be done with user patch for the ebuild, because if done manually, the next merge will wipe the change. The other option is to download the distribution package manually and run it from the user's home directory where the user is in control.
