After a power outage, my computer no longer mounts proc at /proc but it freezes/stalls there. At the time it was prelinking with the -arMf options. I used my gentoo install CD to try to remedy the problem by mounting proc and my filesystems. I then also tried chrooting into the environment and running prelink. It gave me an error about mount not being able to prelink to glibc because it was missing, so I did an emerge glibc and then also an emerge system. I then rebooted the computer, but it again stalled at mounting proc again. Is there anything I can do to rectify my system short of reinstalling everything? Any help you guys can give would definitly be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
