On gentoo for two short months, it works rather well. I had some galleys with portage, emerge etc, but by taking the time to read the gentoo docs, it does. Only small downside, the qt-webengine, which is really, but then really very long to compile ... I dare not put a mask on it, but I feel that I will do it at the next update |

If compiling qtwebengine is boring, you can inspect what triggers its installation and find alternatives. |

What does "gentoo p&e" mean? What are galleys?
There is no need to watch large packages like qt-webengine while they are compiling. Just start it and go about your business.
