|
|
I'm looking for a new monitor, preferably in black, for as cheap as possible (_definitely_ <US$250). I want 19" (or bigger, I guess). It needs to be flat screen (CRT - not a flat panel LCD). Anybody know of any good monitors with high res, good dpi, etc.?
Thanks for your suggestions,

Well i don't know how much is it worth now, but i've bought a Sony CPD-E400 19" monitor some 3 years back, and i won't consider changing it (unless someone throws in a 21" LCD ).
Sony monitors are a very very good buy. They can tend to be a bit more expensive than other but you'll get what you pay for. |

Dude, you're not getting a 19" flat screen for <$250. At least not a new one. You might as well head to EBay or something. _________________ Windows, Linux, whatever. |

I bought a KDS Avitron 195-TF about 3-4 years ago now. It's great. 19" trinitron tube, .24 ag, 1600x1200 @ 85 Hz, 1920x1440 @ 60 Hz, and 1280x1024 @ 100 Hz are the key res/refresh rates. I don't know how much it'd go for now, and I'm not sure if they come in black, but it's been a great monitor for me. _________________ 'Cause I can. |

Dunno about prices in the States (I always thought things were a bit cheaper over there), but I bought a new Samsung 957df 19" flat screen CRT about 18 months/2 years ago for £180 (I think just a bit more than $250, certainly around about the same kind of price). It's a really nice bit of kit, and you could probably pick one up second hand for not much cash at all. _________________ Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day: set fire to him and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. |
