|
|
I've tried by placing the line "session.screen0.toolbar.visible: false" in my ~/.fluxbox/init file, but the toolbar is still there! (That's what the fluxbox website suggested.)
Any ideas on how to get rid of the Fluxbox toolbar?
Thanks. |

i don't really know the answer to your question, but here is a new version out. i'd upgrade and try again.
also, if you don't want a toolbar and don't really use tabs, you should give openbox a try |

if you are using the stable version (0.1.14), then there is no way of removing the task bar, I simply had it hidden and never noticed it was there.
I actually upgraded my fluxbox to 0.9.7 yesterday, and found it very stable (so far) and there is an option to make the task visible or not (not just hidden, actually there or not).
As said though, if you don't want to up to 'unstable', then have you tried openbox or kahakai? |

I just emerged 0.9.7, and the toolbar's gone!
Yeah, I actually like openbox3 a lot, and would like to combine some features of fluxbox and openbox together (like the Alt + Tab behavior, for window cycling).
Thanks for the replies! |
