Hi... i'm a Dial UP modem users.... I download from elsewhere the gentoo 1.4, and do GPR instalation, and as everyone else knows, it has some problem with some packages and KDE..... I choose GPR, so i don't need to be connected to the net, since is expensive for me, but know, any package i try to install, it goes to the net to serach for it... so, my question, is this wrigth or am i wrong??....
whenever i try a "emerge -k package" .....

hi,
the livecd set only contains a limited set of packages like kde/gnome/mozilla/xfree/openoffice.
packages not on the livecd must be downloaded from the inet (you can do this from someplace else if you dont have an inet connection at your place) |

humm... well, i know that, but the thing is, when i started to emerge kde, it went well, but i couln't start it because he could not load kdeinit, so, i check this forums and found out what i have to do.... anyways, those packages left i have to download it from the net, and i guess, if they are going to offer kde in a liveCD2, should add this packages too.... isn't? |
