I am trying to install the drivers for the accesrunner, i've downloaded the CnxADSL.......tar.bz2, extracted it, run the make file and make install, copied the CnxADSL.o into the right directory with the right scripts and when i try insmod CnxADSL is says that the driver has been compiled with gcc version 2.x wheras my kernel has been compiled with gcc 3.x, this is known not to work. and lsmod does not show it installed. what am i doing wrong? |

Which version of gcc do you have installed?
Try doing an:
Code: | emerge rsync
emerge -p gcc
|
The latest version in the portage tree is:
Code: | [ebuild N ] sys-devel/gcc-3.2.3-r3 |
Also, it is possible to try and force modprobe to load the driver by using the '-f' flag. _________________ if at first you dont succeed, Skydiving is not for you.
