I've moved away from my legacy adaptec 7200 raid controller to a LSI sas hba, and raid is supposed to run in software now.
However:
The adaptec card had a power management feature allowing to spin down raid arrays when not in use for xx minutes. This should now be done in software as well.
But, my storage system consists of both SATA and SAS drives, so trying a simple daemon like hd-idle may not work.
Any suggestion for a more "universal" spin-down utility? _________________ The power of Gentoo optimization (not overclocked): |
