Hello, I have an issue with my old school Canon EOS 7D camera. My goal is to connect the camera directly to the computer (via USB) so I can copy the files into my computer. The camera is quite old and it uses a CF card to store images. My Gentoo system is currently unable to recognize this device, so I cannot mount it. I suspect there is something wrong with my kernel config, I have enabled all CF card related options and it still doesn't work. The camera is recognized and automounted immediately in my Pop OS setup, but it uses GVFS to do so.
