|
|
I use a Debian and a Gentoo computer daily to run LibreOffice spreadsheets (Gentoo at home, but remote into my Debian Server when at work). Both run XFCE4 and I access the exact same spreadsheet files via both systems. Both desktops run default xfce4 themes and look similar.
The "look" of LibreOffice Calc is radically different, even though both xfce4 desktops look very similar and use default themes. Under Debian, LibreOffice Calc looks kind of "old" and stodgy. Under Gentoo, it looks more modern. However, I LIKE the stodgy look because the scroll bars are bigger and easier for my old-man eyes to see on Debian. I'd prefer that LibreOffice Calc on Gentoo look more like how it looks on Debian.
I have tryed various themes on xfce4 on Gentoo it hasn't made much difference in in the way LibreOffice Calc looks.
Why does LIbreOffice Calc look so differently? How can I make Calc Gentoo look more "old fashioned"?
Much appreciate any guidance to help me understand this! _________________ Casey Bralla

Can you take 2 screenshots, one on gentoo and one on debian, to better understand what you mean? _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

LibreOffice can be built with support for various toolkits: gtk3, gtk4, qt5, qt6, ...
Maybe your LibreOffice under Debian uses a different toolkit than your LibreOffice under Gentoo?
Try to find out which toolkit used. |
