Don't do that again :)
The CPU will throttle, so it will take care of itself.
Silicon power derating starts at about 90C. Its unlikely anything got that hot. _________________ Regards,

I'm not sure if you see the contents of the code block but I can't. There's something wrong with the encoding or it is not in English.

I think it's zeros. syslog recorded a bunch of zeros in /var/log/messages.
I have a theory about why the system is rebooting.
When I was trying to cool it down before I realized what I had done, I changed the bios to set the CPU to 95 watts. I think that setting may be what made it unstable.
I installed the latest bios, turned off that feature, and am waiting to see if it fails again. _________________ Some day there will only be free software. |
