After several months without using it and numerous system updates, kdenlive no longer starts. Systematic crash on launch. I installed the latest version available without success and my research does not give me any solution.
I don't know if the message about the type of package is related to the problem or not.
If you have an idea, I'm interested.

When I start kdenlive, I get a window to choose reseting config or continue. If I choose continue :

FWIW, the stable version 22.08.3 starts OK for me. I've not tried doing anything with it recently, so I can't say if editing works.

Maybe you should let it reset config? |
That's what I did first, before I posted here my first post.
I just edited then with the result of the other choice.
I have to try something else, and will comeback with the result soon. |

In fact, what I feared turns out to be true. kdenlive only crashes on my profile, not on another I tried.
I feared that because it will be even more complicated to detect the defect.
I tried deleting everything *kdenlive* in my $HOME, but no more success. I also deleted my .asoundrc.

For me, the only solution I found, because I don't want to remove all my profile, is to use another profile !
I never found what in my profile makes it crash. |
