|
|
I am setting up a VPN connection over WireGuard and followed the wiki https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/WireGuard#wg-quick, it works fine when I am connected to my ethernet, but whenever I try to start the service when using wifi I get the following:
Code: | * WARNING: wg-quick.wg0 will start when net.enp0s25 has started |
How do I get the service to recognize the active network iface? Or am I going about this all wrong?
Thanks.

Running openrc in scrict dependency mode by any chance?
Strict mode requires _all_ services providing net to be active before services needing net can be started. The options you have is to relax dependencies to require only 1 provider, use hotplug, or switch to a single manager that will configure all interfaces you want to use at any time (NetworkManager for very mobile machines; otherwise dhcpcd works well enough)
Hotplug and strict mode are configured in /etc/rc.conf |

szatox,
That did the trick! Strict dependency mode was set to "yes" (contrary to my memory)
Thank you for your time ![Smile :)](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
