Hi,
ich bin zwar nicht der mit haufen Ahnung von Linux oder gar Gentoo, aber da ich neugierig bin hab ich mal bei meiner Systemkonfiguration und Gentooinstallation geschaut...
Ich hab mal ein emerge -s pax-utils gemacht mit folgender Ausgabe
Bei mir ist die Installation somit fehlerfrei durchgelaufen.
Da die Fehlermeldung (so denke ich) mit Python 3.11 zu tun hat, hab ich mal geschaut was mir ein eselect python list ergibt

Somit hab mal explizit (ich hoffe ich mach mir keinen) ein eselect python set 1 getan und ein emerge pax-utils hinterher getan, um es zu Reinstallieren und es lief durch.
Nun ist die Ausage von Gemato was ich daraufhin Installiert habe weil ich es nicht hatte, mit dem Ergebnis das Gemato-20.1 Erfolgreich Instaslliert wurde.
Dann gibt es bei dir ein Scanelf wo ich als Unwissender nichts mit Anfangen kann - mein Gentoo allerdings auch nicht denn bei Emerge -s scanelf sagt es

Ich will nur helfen und nicht Klugschei.... aber irgendwie hab ich den Eindruck als wenn es an deiner Systemkonfig oder ähnlichem liegt.
Vielleicht helfen auch Info's wie Emerge --info welche ich immer dazu gebe da hier auch Useflag und Co dabei sind - vielmals ist es tatsächlich ein Konfigproblem.
Es heist bei dir auch

Was für mich heist das irgendwas bei dir gemato-14.5+ Vorraussetzt aber nicht vorhanden ist, installiere ich Gemato neu wird Version Gemato-20.1 Installiert, so denke ich.
UPDATE
Hab bei mir auf Python 3.10 per Eselect python set 2 umgestellt und es laufen auch hier Pax-utils und auch Gemato ohne Probleme durch.

Was ergibt

? Im Falle eines Fehlschlages, poste bitte das gesamte build.log.
/usr/bin/scanelf ist Teil von app-misc/pax-utils. Das Problem wird vermutlich durch die fehlschlagende pax-utils Installation verursacht.
Ich würde darauf tippen, dass dein System nicht richtig auf Python 3.11 migriert wurde. |

Hallo Ihr Beiden,
danke für .Eure Mühe.
Es ist natürlich ein Python-3.11-problem.
Mein System läuft schon mehrere Jahre.
Deshalb sind solche Perl- oder Pythonupgrades immer etwas tricky.
Die Lösung:
ich habe mir das portage-ebuild angeschaut und
alle Abhängigkeiten per Hand compiliert.
Danach lief alles sauber durch.
Es hat mir einfach keine Ruhe gelassen, dass mein System nicht okay ist.
Also war ich Nachts nochmals dran.
Danke für Eure Mühe.
