Hello,
After solving this problem https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1163795.html (you can also find other info about my system and configurations), now I'm getting a kernel panic due to '"/intel-uc.img" file not found' error.
I am able to boot only by editing the default boot option in the GRUB menu and removing the entry "/intel-uc.img" from the line that starts with "init".
Any help or hints to resolve this issue is much appreciated.
------SOLVED------
I was able to solve this issue by retracing all the steps pertaining to installing, configuring, and automating the loading of the microcode. Basically, undoing everything and redoing it again but this time I was careful not to use multiple guides.
