Hi,

I have some problems with the S3 ProSavage KM266 Video-Output.
When I try to load the savage driver the output switches to TV.
I tried to use vesa driver instead.
But there seems to be no support for xv or yuv2 overlay. Additionally I can't manage a eye friendly refresh of the screen.

Both, the monitor and the tv output are working with vesa.

But TV Output is flikering and not usable at all (This seems to be no Linux error, because the poblem exists at boot-time and with the savage driver, too).

I can't manage to get the XServer working with 50Hz or 100Hz. Only 75Hz is accepted. So maybe thats the problem.

Using s3switch tv or s3switch crt results in the error message, that these outputs are not connected. But it also tells that crt and tv is activatet and lcd attached. s3switch lcd results in a seg fault and a blank screen until reboot. Actually I have no lcd out. So that may be normal?
Any suggestions?

Hi
I finally managed to get TV-Out working with good quality.
I never thought about the matter that I need PAL instead of NTSC which is normally standard.
So I set PAL with
Code:
Option "PAL"

in /etx/X11/XF86Config Section Device.
I should have tried that before :(

Nonetheless I still can't get CRT-Out working with the savage driver. Option "CRTOnly" has no effect (and no errormessage)
