When I open a thread in librewolf or firefox-bin, all posts are automatically marked as read.
However, when I do so in palemoon, I have to mark them as solved manually.
Any Idea why that is?
I have https always, noscript and ublock origin as addons.
Noscript is disabled on this site.
I have the Dark Moon 2.7.1 theme.
palemoon is build with USE="gtk3 jemalloc optimize threads -av1 -dbus -debug -devtools -gtk2 -jpegxl -necko-wifi -official-branding -pulseaudio -valgrind"

I do not see any functionality to mark a thread as read.

assumption and not a hard fact, but based on my experience with forum software
The forum works by comparing your last login and session to tell you which topics are new and not visited by you. Since this is an old install, it sometimes happens that your session times out (I can not tell if it is a server/forum problem only or some strange client setting or both) and the comparing informtion gets lost. After that the forum "thinks" that you know already everything

When you go to a forum(not thread), you have a button to mark all posts as read.

My problem is the opposite. It's not that posts get mistakenly marked as read. Posts don't get marked as read when they should.

ah, sorry my bad. Didn't notice this button yet :-)

I've tried it with a sub-forum and all the topics are not new anymore. Using Chrome

I upgraded the kernel from 6.4.3 to 6.4.10 and switched from x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers to nouveau and the problem is somehow fixed.
Don't know which one of the changes did it.
Is this a known bug in 6.4.3?
