Is there any benefit to running nscd as root? Would there be any problems running it as a non privleged user?

afaik nscd needs access to port 53 udp and tcp which is a privileged port. therefore it pretty much needs to run as root to be able to access it.

ps. image signatures f***ing suck ... please please please kill it ...
