Buonasera,

con la nuova installazione di Plasma-meta arrivati a media-libs/libcanberra-0.30-r7 il sistema da errore ed interrompe l'installazione.

Perché hai fatto questo? Se modifichi il package.use non serve a nulla, i vari package.* in /etc sono caricati automaticamente quando lanci il comando emerge.
Puoi postare anche il contenuto del file /var/tmp/portage/media-libs/libcanberra-0.30-r7/work/libcanberra-0.30-abi_x86_64.amd64/config.log?

Ottimo suggerimento.
Credo (?)che l'errore fosse dovuto al pacchetto gtk3 corrotto.
mi è bastato riemergerlo ed il problema si è risolto
