Due to anoboslete and not upgraded piece of software i need to keep PHP 7.4 on my system.
How can i achieve that? I cannot even upgrade at this point because that version is obsolete and outside portage tree... _________________ Willy Gardiol

I think the first step into this direction would be https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Creating_an_ebuild_repository
BUT you will get in trouble with dependend packages and any fruther upgrades (SSL, certs..) and security.
So either
a. discontinue this application and upgrade. On the long term maintaining the old version costs more.
b. If the applcation does yield enough money to satisfy the maintaince of the old version, make sure you kind of disconnect it from the resz of the world to make it save.
c. Kind of freeze the application and server installation and run it in a virtual enviroment and make sure any connection to other systems are monitored in case of any security breaches. _________________ Forum Guidelines
