Salve,

dopo aver compilato un nuovo sistema al riavvio mi ritrovo con schermo nero ed il puntatore del mouse visibile.
Ho seguito la guida di installazione sia per kde che nvidia dal wiki di gentoo .
Suggerimenti?

Usi un login manager? Che sessione di kde avvii wayand o X?
Usando startx kde si avvia?

uso sddm e wayland .
startx non va
alla fine del boot praticamante il login manager mi mostra solo il puntatore del mouse e nulla altro.
Non riesco a vedere la maschera di login ne della scelta di wailand o X11 e quindi ad entrare in kde.

quando ho usato il livecd di gentoo per l'installazione il video era perfetto..(se può servire)

Se spegni il display manager e creai il file ~/.xinitrc con il contenuto

e lanci startx cosa ti ritorna il comando?
E se fai la stessa procedure ma cambiando startplasma-x11 con startplasma-wayland cosa succede?

Ciao,
visto che non ottenevo risultati ho installato Gdm e disinstallato SDDM.
Dopo ho disinstallato GDM e reinstallato SDDM.
Adesso nella finestra di login di SDDM ho la possibilità di scegliere sia wayland che X11.
Se uso X11 il sistema è reattivo e veloce ,ma i caratteri risultano sbiaditi e e si riattivavo quando ci passo sopra con il mouse,ma subito si sbiadiscono di nuovo.
Se uso wayland il problema dei caratteri sbiaditi non è presente ma il sistema si muove un pò a scatti...
Domani disinstallo SDDM e farò il login come mi hai suggerito e vediamo se qualcosa si risolve.
Penso che il problema sia dovuto a SDDM ma non sono riuscito a comprendere cosa possa essere successo.
Ho ricompilato il kernel molte volte pensando fossero sbagliate le flag per i driver nvidia ma non ho risolto nulla.Domani ti aggiorno

Se sei riuscito ad entrare in un istanza di plasma il login manager (SDDM) dovrebbe avere fatto il suo lavoro, quindi dubito che sia lui il problema.
Potresti postare qualche log? Per X11 poi trovarlo in /var/log/Xorg.0.log per wayland non ne ho idea.

penso che per X11 la nuova posizione per il log di X è ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log

Ho reinstallato xorg-server, plasma-meta e x11nvidiadrivers.
Sono entrato con la sessione di Wayland e il funzionamento è ancora a scatti.
Adesso sono con la sessione X11 ed il problema dei font sbiaditi è scomparso.

buongiorno,

ieri facendo l'aggiornamento e successivamente --depclean la situazione con wayland sembra migliorata ma il movimento del mouse e la reattivita del desktop è a scatti... suggerimenti?

ciao mi ha cambiato il file xinitrc che ho prontamente ripristinato (avevo fatto il backup della home.(ho modificato il post per non creare confusione).
Il problema è solo con wayland adesso.

ho pensato di chiudere il post e riaprire uno nuovo in quanto mi è rimasto il solo problema del movimento a scatto sotto wayland.
Pensavo di chiudere il post come non risolto e ne apro uno nuovo trattando solo il problema di wayland.
