Something is interfering with my middle mouse button paste in the forums and it's driving me crazy. I need to use CTRL+C/CTRL+V instead which is plain dull. Here's what it pastes, rather than what is selected:

Is it some script that messes it up?

It used to only miss the first symbol from what was selected, lately it's gotten worse.

This happens only when I'm quoting and editing the quote.

Georgi

Nothing that I haven't always had...

I can't remember when it started because it would only miss one symbol, but now it's gotten quite bad.

I've noticed inconsistent copy/paste behaviour, but haven't bothered to investigate. One thought is that I'm using Wayland and KDE, and I think there have been some relevant problems in that mix.

Wayland may be a common denominator as I use Wayland and Gnome. And yes, it's inconsistent.
