Anyone happen to know if it's possible to make only mythtv mythfrontend to ignore all scroll wheel events (but not mouse clicks)?
I'm running on a laptop that's too easy to generate scroll wheel events...while not a problem for most other software, mythtv is jumpy...
Thinking a source code edit might be needed...
--- EDIT ---
Well, as mentioned this is a laptop which has a touchpad. Apparently as a synaptics it responds to multitouch but due to case construction, it does so poorly and palming tends to make it think it has the second touch.
The solution I ended up doing was setting the touchpad via xfce4 settings to use native right side scrolling and disable multitouch two-finger scrolling and use edge scrolling, which was what the touchpad/laptop case was initially designed to do. Now it's a lot harder to generate unintentional gestures but a bit annoying because I've gotten used to two-finger scrolling on this and other laptops with a synaptics touchpad
Unfortunately it was just this one program, mythfrontend, that I had issues controlling with the touchpad - mainly because other programs accidental touches can easily be reverted unlike mythfrontend where you skip ahead and get spoiled by future scenes in the show. Annoying that I had to change touchpad paradigms to work around an issue with just one program... perhaps mythfrontend can yet still be "fixed" ... _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
