i have set up my laptop and everything works except for my wireless card..
i have the modules built into the kernel like instructed in the forums... and i get everthing to start up correctly except for my ap.. it never gets my ap. only a bunch of 4's.
i am using :
and a netgear ma 401 (prism2 chipset)
pcmcia-cs
wireless tools
vanilla kernel
this is what my iwconfig shows:

I suggest you compile all related things as modules, then remove pcmcia-cs and emerge wlan-tools-something.. _________________ The Loke.

i've tried that and it didn't even pick anything up... so in the end ... this is the best way to go with my laptop unfortunatly...
it used to pick up my ap but now it doesn't.. i just am confused now :/ |
