I can't add a video source on obs studio

I was trying to make a record using OBS studio, but I can't add a video source.
By clicking "+" on sources I don't have the option to add a video source, the options are only the following:

Audio Capture Device (ALSA)
Color Source
Image
Image Slide Show
Media Source
Scene
Screen Capture (XSHM)
Text (FreeType 2)
Window Capture (Xcomposite)

How can I solve this problem do do the proper configuration?
Why don't I have the option to add a video source in my OBS installation?

What do you mean by video source?
A pre-recorded video file? A live camera?

What are your use flags there?
I build OBS with "alsa fdk jack ssl v4l vlc" and didn't have any problems; the last 2 could be relevant to your case.
