nurali,
I started playing with computers as a 10 year old. That was in 1963.
If you find out what computers are good for besides 'playing with' please let me know :) _________________ Regards,

First installed Linux in 1993ish, got serious about it in 1995 when a *nix clone became very handy for college, was rolling my own distro and was an early uncredited contributor to LFS a couple years later, and switched to Gentoo in 2006 to help automate upgrading my disparate systems as time became more precious. _________________ Ryzen 3700X, Asus Prime X570-Pro, 64 GB DDR4 3200, GeForce GTX 1660 Super

My grandmother was 10 in 1963
I do not play games (if that is "playing with" means), I like to implement stuff myself, even if my implementation is total shit, and that is what gives me joy
Unfortunately, I studied civil engineering in college, not computer science or software engineering
But,you know,we (me at leaset) cannot stop studying
Wishing you good health and a happy life |

nurali,
"Playing with" means for amusement only :)
That covers a lot more than playing games. _________________ Regards,

This is a clue. My avatar illustrates the medium I had to use to negotiate with computers when I started work. And libraries had to be put together with scissors and shiny gold tape, in the right order (obviously). |

Found the old account! Looks like the last thing I'd replied to was someone asking for help getting AfterStep running. Man I'm old

64, as I write this. Started my Linux journey with Gentoo in 2005 when I registered my Forum account. The only previous *nix experience I had was in the 1980s with actual Unix System V running on a Convergent Systems minicomputer. I did actually do punch cards for an IBM 370 in my first semester at university, but soon wrangled a time sharing (terminal) account out of my professor and never did that again.
