A few months ago I started out with kernel 2.4.20, now I'm running 2.6.11 and with anything I could imagine around ALSA-sound compiled directly into the kernel.

I installed museseq, and had it run OK except no sound ever came out to my headset. Have to note 2.6.11 was compiled without PC-SPEAKER support.

I have sound working in tvtime. xawtv (bt878), gnomeradio (bttv) mplayer, kmidi and more so sound is OK. I'm using ALSA only, OSS is not activated in the kernel, but could be as modules: via82cxxx-sound, if I got it right.

Now when I try to compile museseq (midi thing) I get this error;

listpack.cpp:52:14: missing terminating " character
listpack.cpp: In function `bool list_add(GList**, void*, unsigned int, unsigned
int, GtkWidget*)':

Anyone out there, who can help ?

After:emerge -C rosegarden jack-audio-connection-kit

I could:

emerge -D museseq without anu errors
[/color]

But starting muse... I get a window with a "red maked, crossed symbol as a speaker" and though I can seem to "load &and play", whatever midi-file I choose the headset is numb!

Please help!

Everything else according to sound seems to be OK.
