dev-db/phpmyadmin:5.2.1 is installed and it's in my world file. "emaint --check world" says

What does emerge dev-db/phpmyadmin -pv print?

thats strange. What happens if you rebuild the package?

It rebuilds fine, but it doesn't affect the error when I run emerge -vp --update --deep world.

What happends if you remove the package and emerge it again?
