|

Hi there,
I've had some problems with gaming on Gentoo recently, so looking around for a distro that has a gaming focus I naturally came across Nobara Project, which is based on Fedora.
Moreover, I've been using Gentoo since 2007 and actually reluctant to switch.
So I thought maybe a community effort is possible to make a a setup guide for Gentoo to get as close to Nobara's improvements* as possible, perhaps by adding an overlay to keep the stuff in one place and adding a profile or by creating a new distribution based on Gentoo (I'd prefer not to, because there are already SOOO many of them and what is Gentoo for if not being the foundation to build anything you want to).
Thoughts? Suggestions? Does it already exist and I just didn't look properly? _________________ Kali Ma

Hello,
Did you tried Batocera Linux? It's a fully dedicated gaming OS that works out of the box. Great UI, huge controller support, dozens of emulators, wine/outros, etc.
It's a really big job to start from scratch when there are dedicated teams studying and working on this subject for years. I'm pretty sure they will appreciate your help there. |
