I had to redo the bootstrap script seeing as how I messed up a flag. Second time around now and it's been going for almost 5 hours now, is this normal? The machine that it's being installed on is running at 2018mhz with 768Mb of ram, the only flag I changed was the Cflags for XP arch and I left the USE flags as defaults. It just seems odd that it's taking this long with the guide saying 2 hours @ 1200mhz, or maybe I misread it...

I hear you. I was think the same thing, especially since I had a 1.8ghz computer and it took about 3.5 to 4 hours. I don't know what the author was doing different.

Well, at least the bootstrapping is done, I'm part way through the "emerge system" step, at least that is moving a little quicker...
