Contrary to the subject line, this does not appear to be the Gentoo package dev-lisp/roswell, because that package would not be building in /home/x/Dirs/roswell_error. Even for a very unusual PORTAGE_TMPDIR, it would show at least the package version. As such, moved to Unsupported Software.

This was the "git clone". But building the package with emerge gives the same error.

Please follow the instructions Portage prints when a build fails.

It seems similar to this upstream report.

The dev-lisp/roswell is official supported. Moved from Unsupported Software to Portage & Programming.
