Some Background:
I'm getting ready to nuke Windows and Repave with Gentoo - Used it for a decade then employment forced me back to Windows but I'm retiring soon and don't have to worry about idiots insisting on Windows anymore since I wont be taking work home.
Right now I've pretty much finished my partition scheme for the system disk but I'm looking at RaidZ for Home with a dozen drives in four pools. The issue is, I'm not sure what I steps I need to take to accomplish this. Do I create the vdevs first so the pools are ready or simply use RaidZ on the drives as planned and go from there. Appreciate any help on this _________________ AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4
