This appears to be an active repo, updated in GitHub Mar. 5, 2024. I executed emerge net-vpn/globalprotect-openconnect::rion
Here is the requested info from that emerge.
Here is emerge --info =net-vpn/globalprotect-openconnect-9999::rion.
Here is the build log.

All debugging hints will be gratefully received.
[SOLVED] I compiled from source, rather than using an ebuild. See below. [/SOLVED]

| This project looks like it was ported from C++ to Rust. A total rewrite of the ebuild would be necessary by its owner (or someone knowledgeable) |

The overlay packages this project I believe, which is written in Rust.
globalprotect-openconnect::slonko installs release 1.4.9, Jan. 8, 2023. I need release 2.1.0, two weeks ago, since it fixes an SSL bug. |

I was able to install this from source, rather than using an ebuild. See this post. |
