ASUS kt4 Ultra Motherboard
512 Megs of ram
Athalon XP 2200+
20 gig harddrive dedicated
Athalon-XP ISO Live CD GRP
I have tried all day to get this to work I have followed the installation instructions for the installation and have come to the conclusion that for some reason emerge and env-update are myth's of legend.
I make my partitions as usual, and I like the newbie config. but as further I go along it says that "directory" does not exist I.E. /bin/bash not a directory or file when trying to chroot.
I am trying this out of bordom of Red Hat, and Mandrake so please oh greta Gentoo L337'5 save me, and show me the light of Gentoo...

almost sounds like you missed untarring one of the stages ... ?
which stage are you using / planning to use? |
