media-tv/kodi thai & korean characters do not display

Hello,
I use media-tv/kodi-20.3 & "The Movie Database Python" as a scraper.
All works fine except Thai & Korean characters do not display. (Instead I have a couple of white squares in the file list)
which is rather strange because Chinese & Japanese display just fine.
I use Arial for font in the interface.

Any kodi expert to help ? I tried on #kodi IRC but no one answer.
