media-sound/strawberry-1.0.23-r1 - lock up when buffering

Since gstreamer-1.22.11 update, I have encountered an intermittent problem when playing music through media-sound/strawberry-1.0.23-r1.

At odd times strawberry will get hung up trying to buffer the next track. The strawberry status bar will show "buffering 0%" with the progress bar for the currently playing track is at the end (100%). The application window is still responsive (minimize/maximize) but track controls are unresponsive (next track, stop, etc). When this happens, only thing I can do is kill and restart strawberry.

I have rebuilt both strawberry and gstreamer.

Is there other steps to be taken to diagnose possible bug.
