When I boot with "install-x86-minimal-20240520T163355Z" or newer, I get the following error message.

Anything up to "install-x86-minimal-20240513T170400Z" is OK, so something must have changed between 20240513 and 20240520.
The system in question has the following CPU.

Perhaps it's related, but once I boot with the older Live CD, the installation works fine as long as I use "stage3-i486-openrc-20240513T170400Z" or older; "stage3-i486-openrc-20240520T163355Z" or later won't let me run "chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash" (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:X86/Installation/Base#Entering_the_new_environment).
Code: | livecd /mnt/gentoo # chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash
/usr/lib/libc.so.6: CPU ISA level is lower than required |
Is it time to retire this old machine? If so, what would be my option? There doesn't seem to be many 32-bit Linux distros that are still maintained.

Indeed. Thanks for sharing. I should have been more vigilant.
