|
the system has 64gb total memory (2x 32gb)
dimm-a-1 32gb
dimm-a-2 none
dimm-b-1 32gb
dimm-b-2 none
i will make 2 ramdrives
how can i say that ramdrive1 is from dimm-a-* and ramdrive2 is from dimm-b-* ?
mount -t tmpfs -o size=8G none /mnt/ramdisk1/
mount -t tmpfs -o size=8G none /mnt/ramdisk2/
works, but i found no way to limit this to a specific dimm-channel, how can i do this?! |

You cannot, afaik (somebody correct if I'm wrong).
tmpfs (like many other things) use memory from kernel virtual memory pool.
EDIT: And... I was, at least partly, wrong. Take a look at mpol mount option for tmpfs.
