I have an old Logitech mouse that is wearing out but still mostly works:

Code:
Bus 008 Device 005: ID 046d:c534 Logitech, Inc. Nano Receiver

I bought a new one to replace it:

Code:
Bus 008 Device 010: ID 046d:c52f Logitech, Inc. Nano Receiver

When I connect the new mouse, it appears to be recognized by the kernel:

Code:

[ 1589.907344] usb 8-1.2: new full-speed USB device number 11 using xhci_hcd
[ 1590.092547] usb 8-1.2: New USB device found, idVendor=046d, idProduct=c52f, bcdDevice=30.00

But most of the time, moving the mouse and clicking its buttons does nothing in Plasma. Sometimes, if I unplug its receiver, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in, then it works, but this doesn't fix the problem reliably. My old mouse works fine (except that the left button is wearing out, which is why I decided to replace it). This issue occurs whether the new mouse is also connected or not, so I don't think it's a conflict between the two.

Here is my Xorg.0.log output from the last time I connected the new mouse (and it doesn't work):

Here's the Xorg.0.log output when I connect the old mouse. There are differences, but I don't see anything that's obviously a problem. It's weird to me that it goes back and forth between being recognized as a mouse and a keyboard, but that happens with both of them. I also thought the "No input driver specified" message could be the problem, but that also happens with both of them.

I'm running Plasma 5.27.11. I had the same issue with the previous version of Plasma I was running (I don't remember which version it was), and the upgrade didn't fix it. Is there anyplace else I should be looking, or is the answer in Xorg.0.log, and I'm just not seeing it?
