I can't offer an advice but I can share some observations.
First there's a perl update problem. This I think is a separate issue and I hope someone familiar with perl updates will comment on it.
The it's rust. Recently there was a problem with rust 1.78 and since you're running testing, you've hit it. I'll add the bug number(s) later if I manage to dig them.
EDIT: I think thisi is it: https://bugs.gentoo.org/934385 and here's a related thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1169347.html
And the last observation, you're trying to mix KDE 5 with 6. This is not supported. I guess you have some KDE 5 things in you world file. If you post it, someone could point out what it is and eventually you can figure out how to deal with that.
Related thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1169441.html
Best Regards,
Georgi |

Thank you for all that.
I will investigate those leads. |

There is no such thing as "KDE5" or "KDE6", and having KF5 and Qt5 based applications among KF6-based ones within a Plasma 6 environment will be the norm right now, rather than "unsupported".
You're trying to run a desktop with a non-desktop profile, so you are missing a lot of flag settings normally provided for desktop profiles. kf6compat being one of them. |

Whatever it is, I believe you've explained it in the linked thread and the issue is the same.
