mitigations hungs my PC

I have Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU and noticed strange PC crashes some time ahead.
I've tried RAM, SSD/HDD but it was OK.
It happened quite random but even exporting video was quite extreme sport.
Now I tried to turn all mitigation off (kernel param) and system is super stable since.
Have anyone experienced something similar?

Probably good idea to narrow it down to specific mitigation and create bug report.
Also is the BIOS in the newest version available for your motherboard?
I guess Linux should update microcode anyways but I am not sure if its configured by default on Gentoo.
