Hi all

I'm trying to run Gentoo on an old Sparc64 architecture.

i've just visited this guide and downloaded this minimal image (gentoo-sparc64-20100413.tftpboot) but the boot hangs at:

Code:
console [tty0] enabled, bootconsole disabled


like it was switching to some other console, and i can't see the output anymore.

If i append
Code:
console=btext0
to the kernel boot args, the boot continues for like 10 more seconds, but it hangs anyway at:

Code:
turn off boot console earlyprom0


I think the system is working, but it's connecting its console to another device.

Is there a way to force the screen fb as the only console device?
