Installed grub per the handbook and the system rebooted but the framebuffer was using 1440 - HiDPI on my monitor making it unusable due to not being able to read it.
It's taken me some serious effort to locate a solution and what I'm currently looking at is appending the option to the default kernel boot line. This should result in the standard Console being used, meaning just like the installer uses.
This is fine to me as it makes it easier to fix/recover a broken system without having to use the minimal installer and chrooting into the system. If I want x11 and a Gui, I'll either startx with that configured for my WM or use one of the X11 log-in managers such as Slim. _________________ AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4

On a related note, Anyone know the kernel option to pass for a rescue (run level 1) boot? _________________ AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4
