Hi,
Due to entries in my package.mask, I couldn't "update my system fully" during the stage 1 of the instructions, and now, during the last stage - emptytree - I have not only reinstalls, but also 2 upgrades and 7 new packages. All of them are related to adwaita icon theme. Could it hurt my system in the future or is it okay?

That's fine, when you changed profiles it changed flags and some packages deps changed because of it.
Me, I'm taking a gamble and not doing --emptytree and let the world slowly migrate on its own...

Same here, at least for a very low end motherboard.

For the time passed, I have used several times all the related applications, and everything works as intended.
