found how to start it :
Code: |
hedmo@my300 ~ $ kstart /usr/libexec/org_kde_powerdevil
kf.kio.gui: Failed to determine systemd version, falling back to extremely legacy forking mode.
hedmo@my300 ~ $ qt.core.qobject.connect: QObject::disconnect: Unexpected nullptr parameter
qt.core.qobject.connect: QObject::disconnect: Unexpected nullptr parameter
org.kde.powerdevil: org.kde.powerdevil.chargethresholdhelper.getthreshold failed "Charge thresholds are not supported by the kernel for this hardware"
org.kde.powerdevil: Handle button events action could not check for screen configuration
org.kde.powerdevil: org.kde.powerdevil.chargethresholdhelper.getthreshold failed "Charge thresholds are not supported by the kernel for this hardware"

so now to find out why it does not want to autostart. |

The title is misleading, the issue is not fixed since the service does not auto-start correctly on KDE6. And this thread offers no solution.
Starting the service works, but I don't want to do this manually every time.

Anybody knows why it's broken? |

I don't have anything to add other than it is broken for me too. |

Yes! Thanks for the reminder. I know it was in the news item, and I intended to run it once I logged back into KDE after running the update outside of my session, but completely forget.
Now, I've got another problem, but will start a new thread. |
