Hi, I'm new to Gentoo.
Somehow i managed to boot my system and it works, but i still have some questions.
Here is one:
Code: | $ icecat
Crash Annotation GraphicsCriticalError: |[0][GFX1-]: More than 1 GPU from same vendor detected via PCI, cannot deduce device
(t=14.4187) [GFX1-]: More than 1 GPU from same vendor detected via PCI, cannot deduce device |
Whenever I launch Icecat (Firefox fork) this error occurs. But my laptop has only one GPU... And the whole launch process takes more than 15 seconds!
Just tried with gentoo-kernel-bin, and nothing changed.
Have no idea what could it be

# A late reply is better than no reply ;-)
My wild guess is that it is related to hardware acceleration. Add the following two lines in your prefs.js, probably found at ${HOME}/.mozilla/firefox/<profile>/prefs.js:
user_pref("browser.preferences.defaultPerformanceSettings.enabled", false);
user_pref("layers.acceleration.disabled", true);
The first line seems necessary to activate the second one. _________________ Hack of easy Shift / Ctrl / AltGr etc; save your pinkies, type without drudgery: topic 865313
