|
|
Hi All,
I am trying to install ROCm on my 780m chip and have installed gentoo.
Aim: To get ROCm working
Required: 1) To get the base Gentoo install secure. (Ie. Make a snapshot of the same and save it and if anything goes wrong can use this snapshot to recover it)
2) Howto transfer a working gentoo install in a different device (From an SDD to an Nvme)
Request: 1) How to make such a snapshot?
2) How to transfer the final gentoo install (after ROCm install) into the final Nvme? |

See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/rsync#Full_system_backup
The reference will show you how to correctly and reliably copy an installation from one partition to another. After the rsync, you will need adjust your new /etc/fstab appropriately and attend to your boot configuration and/or installation. _________________ Andy Figueroa
