Hi,
I have a 7950x with 128GB RAM. It's using the proart creator x670 motherboard. I am using the iGPU. This issue happens when there is (and is not) a dedicated gpu on the motherboard as well (with the iGPU being the display).
I know it's not a system stability issue, because if I just use terminal without a GUI it does not crash or have problems.
Basically, when running X11 or Wayland, text/fonts corrupt or go missing, which go back to normal when scrolling down the page. Sometimes an image will turn pink as well.
I have had a hard crash as well when using the iGPU with a GUI.
I don't have any logs, but was curious if anyone else was having this problem? Currently using amdgpu and radeonsi as the drivers.
The kernel is 6.10.6.
..I'm actually not sure if I'm using microcode with the kernel, so may want to look into that. |

Just in case anyone was curious, I enabled the microcode and then forced the gfx curve optimizer to 3. I also downclocked the iGPU by 500mhz and forced it to maintain that frequency (I read auto mode can cause these issues).
The problems went away. |
