GNOME cursor a white square/small icon

I installed gnome alongside KDE. Worked fine. I deselected plasma-meta and did a depclean. Everything is fine, but the mouse cursor is now a white square on gnome when on the desktop. The mouse goes back to its normal size/shape in gnome settings menu. In any other application (firefox/steam/etc) the mouse becomes a very tiny, incredibly hard to see, icon.

Is there a way to fix this?
