This is not mentioned in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Bluetooth

obex USE flag is enabled.

Bluetooth itself works - I use it for my wireless headphones.

I read that I need to use bt-obex - but how to install it?

The bt-obex command is contained in the package net-wireless/bluez-tools.

app-portage/pfl contains e-file which is quite good for finding which package a file exists in
